Ok, here's an update. I talked to the Sebastian Inlet State Park office, and they are open 24x7, so you can pay and launch anytime day or night. The costs are $3 for your vehicle with one person or $5 for 2-8 people in a single vehicle. The boat ramp fee is $3.21, so you'll pay $6.21 to launch by yourself. Or $8.21 if you bring a friend(s).
This may be the route I have to go, consider what my schedule is looking like. |

| It looks like I am going to miss the first part of the fishing tourn. but I am not too worried about winning the tourn. seems that I have never fished the area. All I am really interested in doing is meeting the faces behind the comments and fooling poon into eating chicken feathers and rabbit strips. Could someone share a spot or two via PM? Thanks. |

| Honest Johns gate opens at am. I had a charter this past Saturday and did well on snook and trout. I am going to be fishing this area Saturday morning before heading to Long Point for the show. Look for a white LT25. |

FYi - Google's streetview feature now has Long Point park completely covered. So, if you haven't been there before, like me, it's a pretty good virtual tour of the place. Decent resolution too.
Check it out at maps.google.com.

For those of you traveling down Saturday, you may want to consider launching in the city of Sebastian there is a public, free ramp just down from Capt. Hirams. You can leave the ramp travel just east by north east to the far side and be at long point in about five minutes. Just another option.
